मेरठ (महानाद) : भारतीय सेना के जवान कपिल सिंह की पिटाई के मामले में पुलिस ने 7 लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया। वहीं भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (एनएचएआई) ने टोल प्लाजा संभालने वाली कंपनी का ठेका रद्द कर उसके ऊपर 20 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया है।
आपको बता दें कि मेरठ जिले के गोतका गांव निवासी भारतीय सेना के जवान कपिल सिंह कांवड़ मेले के दौरान छुट्टियों में अपने घर आये थे और श्रीनगर में अपने कैंप वापस जाने के लिए सोमवार की सुबह दिल्ली से फ्लाइट पकड़ने के लिए निकले थे। मेरठ के सरूरपुर इलाके में स्थित भूनी टोल प्लाजा पर उनकी टोल प्लाजा के कर्मचारियों के साथ किसी बात को लेकर बहस हो गई, जिसके बाद टोल कर्मचारियों ने उनके साथ बुरी तरह मार-पीट कर दी।
रात में ही कपिल सिंह की पिटाई का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो गया। वीडियो में टोल प्लाजा के कर्मचारी कपिल कुमार की डंडे और लात-घूंसों से पिटाई करते हुए नजर आए। टोल कर्मियों ने कपिल को खंभे पर सटाकर पीछे से उनके हाथ पकड़े और एक कर्मचारी डंडे से उनके पैरों पर हमला करता हुआ दिखाई दिया। वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद भारी संख्या में लोग टोल प्लाजा पर पहुंचे और दोषियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग करते हुए धरने पर बैठ गए।
मामले में तुरंत मेरठ पुलिस ने तुरंत एक्शन लेते हुए 7 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर उनके खिलाफ जान से मारने सहित संगीन धाराओं (बीएनएस की धारा 191(2), 191(3), 190, 115(2), 352 और 109(1) के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर जेल भूज दिया।
वहीं, भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (एनएचएआई) ने टोल प्लाजा संभालने वाली कंपनी का ठेका रद्द करते हुए उसके ऊपर 20 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगा दिया।
मामले की जानकारी देते हुए एसएसपी मेरठ विपिन टाडा ने बताया कि कपिल सिंह भारतीय सेना की राजपूत रेजिमेंट में सेवारत हैं। वह छुट्टियों पर घर आए हुए थे और सोमवार की सुबह फ्लाइट पकड़ने के लिए रविवार की रात में घर से रवाना हुए। टोल प्लाजा पर वाहनों की कतार लगी थी, ऐसे में उन्होंने टोल प्लाजा कर्मचारियों से जल्दी निकलने देने के लिए कहा, क्योंकि उन्हें फ्लाइट पकड़नी थी। उन्होंने अपना आई कार्ड भी दिखाया। इसी बात पर टोल कर्मियों से उनकी बहस हो गई, जिसके बाद उनके साथ मारपीट की गई।
गिरफ्तार किये गये टोल कर्मी –
1. सचिन (30 वर्ष) पुत्र मुकेश निवासी ग्राम पाचली थाना सरूरपुर, मेरठ।
2. विजय (25 वर्ष) पुत्र अरुण निवासी करनावल, थाना सरूरपुर मेरठ।
3. अनुज (28 वर्ष) पुत्र ओमप्रकाश निवासी ग्राम दुर्जनपुर, थाना सरूरपुर, मेरठ।
4 अंकित पुत्र (26 वर्ष) दारा सिंह निवासी ग्राम छुर, थाना सरधना, मेरठ।
5. सुरेश राणा (56 वर्ष) पुत्र राजपाल निवासी ग्राम बढ़हल थाना दोघट जनपद बागपत।
6 अंकित शर्मा पुत्र नरेश निवासी ग्राम सूजती, थाना दोघट, जनपद बागपत।
